I don't really reflect on progress using scales as it's a pretty rubbish guide at times, but pretty chuffed with this stat after really knuckling down on approach to 30! Feeling way lighter and much more efficient in all I do. Always been a lover of running AND shifting tin so its been a challenge to use my old Napier degree and work out a programme to not let sessions cancel each other out or inhibit progress at either end of the candle! Finally nailed some MoArnold goals a month before my 30th; hitting a bodyweight bench as well as a 21min 21second 5k time. I'm not sharing to be a foghorn but to prove it CAN be done even if you like pies and parties! Educate yourself and take your time. Yes I worked hard in the gym but this was mostly done by reading and consequently experimenting with lifestyle nutrition and macro nutrients. Pumpkin protein pancakes! I've perfected my own recipe, so here you go! 💜35g vanilla protein powder (I use @isopurecompany ... Isopure zero carb creamy vanilla flavor).💜55g canned pumpkin puree (make sure the ONLY INGREDIENT is pumpkin!) 💜50g egg whites [either from a carton (again, ONLY EGG WHITES!) or I got about this amount from two large eggs].💜 Dash of vanilla extract and cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.Mix it all together and let the batter sit for about 5 minutes. Heat a skillet to medium heat and SLOWLY pour batter onto skillet...if you move to fast, you'll get really thin pancakes! I get three pancakes. Brown one side, flip, repeat... Load 'em up with some stuff and enjoy!NOTE: you may need to adjust the amount of protein powder by +/- 5g. I had to play around with it depending on the brand. Wether your dieting for health reasons, to look better naked or a bit of both making smart food choices can really be the difference between trotting round the planet with your tummy yelling at you or just making a dull murmur.-🏆From a mindset point of view many people like myself find small portions a "jolly sad state of affairs "& well it has the effect of leaving you feeling unsatisfied after you've eaten. If you don't feel satisfied then 100 percent all your going to do is focus on food 🥘 which lets face it is not a healthy or productive state of mind-👩🏼‍💼Also if you get "hangry" your judgement is clouded so making good decisions becomes a lot harder so keeping how hungry you feel under control in my view is very important.-👌🏻Working adequate protein & an abundance of veg into your diet is really the best thing you can do, course including fats is important too for overall health but remember when you ain't gonna get a lot of volume from fat in terms of calories.( some folks thrive on a high fat diet so don't mind the smaller portions but for me no ta.-🦁For most healthy peeps a modest varied fat intake in amongst an overall balanced intake & adequate protein probably works best but as always it's really about finding what works best for you.
