Having not trained much as much as I'm use to throughout my pregnancy my muscle tone has certainly decreased.I don't find it easy to put on muscle but what muscle I did have , has gone walkabouts, especially my bum 🤦🏼‍♀️😂😐 - but that's ok 😊.People have asked, will I start exercising again once the baby is born? the answer to that is of course not!.Once this little one is born, it is important to ensure that I am fully recovered from the process of childbirth and enjoy quality time with our baby before restarting my exercise regime..When I feel ready and good enough to work out, and only then I will start off slowly.My fitness levels have dropped despite exercising throughout my pregnancy and I will gradually work my way back up to the intensity levels that I was prior to my pregnancy..There is to much pressure this day and age on new mums to get back to the level they were pre pregnancy. Being a mum is a tough job without the added pressure of that..Enjoy your time with your little one and realise you will not be able to regain your prior fitness level overnight. Have patience with yourself and enjoy your workouts with the journey back into fitness. 🍕 Let's go over how to recover from a slip up in your diet!⠀⠀🛀 RELAX! We're all human, making mistakes is pretty much in our DNA. We all love to indulge every once in a while, and without doing so are you really living? Reminds yourself of the fact that you're human and that you're bound to have slip ups. They happen! There's no way we could live our lives without enjoying ANY of the indulgences available to us.⠀⠀🍔 ENJOY! I mean really, at this point you stuffed your face, you likely got to enjoy the dopamine rush of happiness that came along with it. Burgers, french fries, pizza and ice cream are all delicious and you've consumed those calories anyway, why not just enjoy yourself at this point. Reflect, and understand that you've skewed from your path. This isn't the end of the world.⠀⠀🙏 FORGIVE! Okay maybe the pope doesn't care that you deviated away from your diet, that's not the point. You should not spend time punishing yourself and running through simulations in your head of how you could have avoided this. It's all about creating a healthy relationship with food and if you choose to punish yourself instead of forgive, you'll create negative response pathways related to food, and this ultimately causes a very negative association with food in general. It's important that we forgive ourselves in this process and learn to let go of the fact that it happened. As soon as it's done it does NOT mean that the rest of our journey is set in stone.⠀⠀🏃 CONTINUE WHERE YOU LEFT OFF! The most important rule here is to just keep going. Persevere, accept the mistakes and learn more about what causes these sort of slip ups so you can catch them faster in the future. Zimno, za ciepło, jeść, pić a potem gąsienica zablokowała itd... Would you believe me if I told you on the left I was at my HIGHEST WEIGHT EVER and on the right I'm right back there (just shy of a pound or two) but this time I have a better reason - my babies. .This was the end of my freshman year at Juniata. I had shortly learned after this I gained 30+ pounds my first year at school. It was honestly utterly depressing. I had worked hard towards the end of high school to look amazing and feel great and here I was worse than where I started. Yet somehow my boyfriend at the time still loved me for me and never made me feel awful. I didn't get it.From that point on I yo-yo'd in weight for the next 10-11 years. I'd get fit then gain. Get fit then gain. The being fit part never lasted more than 18 months. And again I'd feel disgusted and saddened and in a funk I didn't know how to get out of. .This company saved me in more than just my weight. It helped me form a MINDSET to.🌟never give up🌟learn it's a journey with no end🌟know I CAN do anything🌟know I'm strong🌟to BELIEVE in ME.You over there - I get it. I was you - you can have a mindset change too. THAT my friends will make you feel better inside AND out. 💜.Promise 🤞🏻.If I can transform my life, you can too 😘#transformationtuesday

A Lady Goes West @aladygoeswest -- is the name of my blog, which I started when I moved from Orlando, Florida to San Francisco, California almost exactly five years ago (I lived in Nob Hill, but I'm in the East Bay now). I used to work in PR and writing in the corporate world, but now I write for myself and work in fitness -- a welcome change. I'm married, I have a little white maltipoo, whom you will often see in my IG stories because he's totally my bestie, and I'm expecting my first baby (a boy) in the next few weeks. My entire life goal was to "get the most out of things", be eccentric. Go crashing into the finish line of life with banged up knees & a bag FULL of stories😳Do you know how far that got me? Do you know how much I was actually living? Not far & not much are the real glamorous answers.I have purpose now. I have a drive for more meaningful things, I'm a part of something & people care about me! Not people feeling sorry for me because I'm acting like a lost cause. Ask and you shall receive. I got exactly what I wanted. I missed my boot camp classes, today I found that in shredded. Mind you I had already wkout on my own for an hour. When the instructor tells me I'm a beast bc I aimed for every single heavy weight that ppl avoid. I replied simply by saying "Thank You" learning to appreciate the meaningful compliments. I was covered from head to toes by the end of class all my sweats and hoody was off.
