Yesterday I shared with you that I took one of my biggest fears head on and squashed my objections....I am not lying when I say that just two months ago, I don’t believe that I would’ve had the confidence in myself to be in an uncomfortable situation but be as comfortable as I was....I received a message yesterday that really spoke volumes to me and offered me a new perspective. #numbers #messages #signs ...999: this is a message signifying completion of an important chapter in your life, and now it’s time to get to work-without procrastination-on your next life chapter. This number sequence is like an alarm clock, ringing loudly in order to jolt you into working on your life purpose!...If I didn’t take the leap and risk to put myself in an uncomfortable situation, I would’ve never believe that I could do it. And that goes for EVERYTHING! I shared that when looking back a year ago, I wasn’t present for most of it. I was focusing on things that didn’t deserve my focus. I was stressed about things that I should’ve just let go of. And I feel as though I missed out on a year of my life....I refuse for myself to allow that to happen again. I refuse to keep going down a path that society decides for me. I refuse to just settle. I refuse to stay stagnant and not make positive changes for myself. ...If you take anything from this, please let it be, don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Don’t be afraid to take a leap, because you never know what your life will be like if you don’t. TWO A DAYS! Am I CRAZY? Maybe?! BUT when you have relentless pursuit for your vision NOTHING will STOP you! A lil core set & body weight exercise from two different workouts! Leg day involved prayer crunches & bicycles at the end! Prep Week workout #2 had some killer lunges with a front raise! BOY was my body feeling the burn from the ENTIRE second workout especially in this exercise! I didn’t die though guys! I’m here ALIVE! How did you get through it Maraay Lotus? I was reminded of my WHYs! That’s what you do when you’re feeling your MIND tell your body to take it easy. No 💁🏼‍♀️ you have a few more in you! Keep going! When you have a strong WHY OR WHYS use that as fuel to your flame! I couldn’t be more stoked to be in my first test group Oct 22nd! 📣A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY📣(Please Read Entire Caption)Many people think that the road to success is Linear and I’m going to have to hit you with a big HELL NO!LEFT ⬅️:When I started my fitness journey in 2015MIDDLE ↕️:The BEST PHYSICAL Shape I have ever been in in my life.RIGHT ➡️:Where I’m at today, going through a whole hell of a lot of HEALTH HUMPS, Entrepreneurial STRESS and a SHIT TON OF UPS and DOWNS!Though I may not be where I want to be with my very own personal fitness career, but I can also tell you how much personal growth has happened over the past 3 years.I have transformed from a SELFISH HUMAN to a SERVICE TO OTHERS HUMAN!-⬅️LEFT: I was not emotionally or physically fulfilled. I knew I had more potential. I was also selfish and unhappy.-↕️MIDDLE: I was so damn happy and proud of my physical accomplishment but I was mentally unfulfilled.-➡️RIGHT: I have become more interested in helping others and get fired up when I see my clients and you all succeed. Though my own physical appearance isn’t where I would like it to be... I can guarantee you, I am learning MORE and MORE about myself in this physical state on the daily. I am learning to find happiness from within AND I am learning to love myself more for what I CAN and have done than for my failures or what I have yet to accomplish!MY MAIN GOAL RIGHT NOW:• Personal Happiness and Fulfillment• Hormonal Balance & Health• Correcting Movement PatternsAm I done with fitness yet?? HELL NO! Workouts that move your fitness & strength forward don’t have to leave you feeling annihilated. I like to simply my meals as much as I can so I breakdown each meal into a Protein + Carb + Veggie + Fat + Seasoning. #This little matrix makes it SUPER easy to create new tasting meals out of the same ingredients so you don't get bored :) Also makes it very easy to meal prep and cuts down on time (I personally hate trying to make exotic recipes - they are a hassle to buy ingredients for and a hassle to enter in MyFitness Pal)#Most of my meals can be prepared in the following manner: 1. Roast/ bake veggies in pan (silicone baking sheets are bomb from Coscto)2. Get those carbs cooking - jasmine rice in your fav rice cooker is super easy2. Meanwhile, put some coconut oil in a pan and brown some meat3. If you are using a hearty herb/spice like ginger, add it before the meat, if it’s delicate like basil, add it when the dish is almost done. 5. They should all come together for a tasty meal in about 5-10 min!# What's everyone cooking tonight?!

Replace - Add in a digestive enzymes (protease, lipase, etc.) with each meal. If you are feeling nauseous while eating, try Betaine HCl or 1 T. apple cider vinegar with meals.#3. Reinoculate - Add in a good quality probiotic to help restore gut flora. Min 15 billion CFUs in each dose with Lactobacillus & Bifidobacter species (I use Hyperbiotics PRO-15). Fermented foods such as miso, sauerkraut & kombucha also help!#4. Repair - To further help repair the intestinal lining, add in the following supplements: tumeric, aloe vera, marshmallow root, & DGL licorice (reduce inflammation), Zinc, Antioxidants (Vitamin A, C, E, & Selenium to reduce oxidation), Fish oil, & L-Glutamine (amino acids for immune system). # If you are still having the same issues after completing all these steps, then work with a functional med doc to do a stool test to further diagnose.

Do an Elimination diet for 2 weeks that removes all the common offenders like gluten, soy, dairy, vegetable oils, processed foods, alcohol (check out the book “Healthy Gut, Healthy You” by Michael Ruscio for a personalized approach), even remove medications (check with yo doc) & stress as well. #2. Replace - Add in a digestive enzymes (protease, lipase, etc.) with each meal. If you are feeling nauseous while eating, try Betaine HCl or 1 T. apple cider vinegar with meals.#3. Reinoculate - Add in a good quality probiotic to help restore gut flora. Min 15 billion CFUs in each dose with Lactobacillus & Bifidobacter species (I use Hyperbiotics PRO-15). Remember when I said you should do what scares you most? Well, I did that. I stepped on stage in the smallest amount of clothing I’ve ever worn, doing something I’ve never done, in front of people I’ve never met. I made a commitment to do this.I pushed myself every single day for 10 weeks. I cried. I laughed. I celebrated. I spent SO MUCH money. I didn’t go out. When I did go out - I didn’t drink & I ate healthy food. I learned so much about who I am. I doubted myself. I believed in myself in a way I’ve never experienced. I overcame a major fear. I conquered a major goal. This was my very first time stepping on stage - I competed in Beginner, Novice & Open. I took home a medal in all three. 2nd, 5th, 5th. Not only did I conquer my fears & doubts - I CRUSHED them. Believe in yourself. Set a goal. Don’t cancel on yourself. Push yourself. And dang it - ACHIEVE IT. Happy Sunday🌞 Weekends are when balance comes into play... ⁣⁣⁣Do you fully enjoy your weekends? Days and nights out with friends not thinking about fitness and nutrition? While it is important to let loose and reward yourself for a hard working week, it is important to remember balance.😊 ⁣⁣⁣Many restrict themselves all week (strict diet, diligent workouts) then go crazy over the weekend and throw it all out the window. It is important to realize that it is OKAY to eat out and have a few drinks, but try to get a workout in, too! Don’t restrict yourself all week to the point where you have the temptation to binge over the weekend. ⁣⁣⁣I like to create balance all week so that there are no “rules” when it comes to fitness and nutrition. I don’t believe in “cheat meals”. LIVE YOUR LIFE! Of course I have standards set for myself, but if I miss a workout and have a fried chicken-fried egg-mac and cheese sandwich, that’s okay (still dreaming of last night’s meal😍). The BALANCE that I have makes up for an out of the ordinary day. 🍔 ⁣⁣⁣Putting restrictions on yourself throughout the week only leads to a weekend full of indulgence. That is okay here and there, but set a standard of mainly healthy habits so that when you want to enjoy yourself, it won’t affect your fitness and nutrition goals. Have a great rest of your weekend💕

My best friend was once my boyfriend, then my husband. We came to America together, we were team Sweden fighting to make a living starting from scratch in Los Angeles. We were never lovers, we didn’t have any physical attraction for each other, but my first question on our first chat was “do you want to go with me to America?”. He said yes and that was all I needed to know. We worked side by side, producing images that went to the muscle history books. One day I came home, sat down and told him I couldn’t go on, I had to follow my heart and my heart had chosen someone else. Our whole world fell apart, it was not easy. I didn’t want to hurt my best friend, but it wasn’t my nature to stay just to stay. The new fling was a passionate roller coaster and didn’t last, in hindsight that kind of intense attraction was needed to trigger me to move on. It was all a blessing in disguise. We are now best friends, partners in crime, business partners. With all the people we meet in life that come and go, just remember, friendship, true friendship is the foundation. Without it what do you have? When the passion and the desire fade, what’s left? Nothing’s more soul emptying than realizing who you spend your life with doesn’t challenge you, doesn’t intrigue you, doesn’t make you laugh or smile. If you rather not engage in a deep conversation about the purpose of life, then, what’s it for? This post I wrote to celebrate true friendship. If you find it, take care of it!
