Not posted on here for a while. Do I have an excuse no.. life has kind of just got in the way. I have been maintaining going to the gym at least 4 times a week and eating 75% of the time. Our motivation & willpower will be stretched to the max 😬 The beige buffet is a plenty & we MUST eat everything in sight simply cos ‘it’s Christmas’ 🀷‍β™€οΈπŸ˜† Every Christmas I begin with good intentions πŸ˜‡ I promise myself I won’t fall into the usual cycle of opting with full blown ‘f*ck it’ mode πŸ™ But come Christmas Eve I would eat everything & anything for a week straight! 🐷 Regret creeps in @ NYE when I want to wear a nice outfit but everything feels tighter / uncomfortable πŸ€°πŸ™„πŸ™ˆ When I’m home from NY, up until Christmas / Boxing Day & in between Christmas & New Year I’ve set myself the target of trying to be as on plan as possible πŸ‘€πŸ’ͺ ‘Why?!’ ‘Don’t be boring!’ ‘Life’s for enjoying!’ ‘Have another one?’ ‘Surely you’re not on a diet at Christmas time?!’ 🧐 Say people who typically don’t a) struggle with binge eating & b) understand how much over eating can impact one’s mental state! How can we mindfully eat over Christmas?! 🀭MY TOP TIPS FOR MY FESTIVE FLEXA. Plot your off plan events / meals. Then plot on plan days / meals in between. That way you can visually see where you have an opportunity to stay on plan. This will avoid a ‘write off the whole of December’ mentality. B. Don’t be hard on yourself. We’re not robots. Food does bring joy (for me, anyway!) & it’s lovely to enjoy tasty festive treats with family & friends. So enjoy it & don’t beat yourself up! That said, perhaps ask yourself after the second helping of food whether you ACTUALLY want or need it, or whether you’re tucking in without thinking. If it’s the latter, try & flex that willpower muscle!C. Stock up on low SP sweet treats. Yep, that was me πŸ˜‚ two pieces of prawn toast, one spring roll, one chicken satay stick and probably about 6-8 steamed dumplings for starters 😘everyone else then had duck and pancakes - I originally just carried on eating the dumplings πŸ€ͺ(included in the 6-8 above) but ended up picking at the duck 😏no pancakes or sauce though. .Mains was beef and green peppers in black bean - because everyone else had chicken and we were meant to be trading πŸ˜† with boiled rice and noodles - this was a side plate, but I did have two plate fullsπŸ˜˜πŸ˜‚ I'm calling it all the rest of my dailies, all the weeklies I've accumulated so far this week and I'm hoping to roll another 4 points over each day until the weekend πŸ‘πŸ» .I enjoyed the meal but I can honestly say that my tastes have changed - instead of this I'd much rather have some fully pointed pub grub and a nice dessert πŸ˜‹I think now I enjoy it more when I know how many points are in my meal - and when there's chocolate in my dessert πŸ˜˜πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ’ͺ🏻
